Why is it called "the Ship that Stood Still?"

nvm, saw your answer. How are you going to pull off the hundreds of people drowning in the water while this huge ship sinks around them and its night? Pretty hard stuff... good luck.

Re: The Ship That Stood Still -Update Thread

Probably not since in a different thread he asked for someone to make a CG ship.  He'll find a way.

Looking forward to seeing this and RealBrick's entry.  Never seen this done in LEGO before.  If I find some time, I'll try to voice act for you mini/wink

Re: The Ship That Stood Still -Update Thread

Thanks Guys  mini/smile I'll use a miniature-scale Lego one green-screened to make a night sky background.
And , Daniel , if you could voice act that would be awesome  mini/tongue

EDIT= New Screenshots mini/smile

If you use a miniature scale Titanic, how will you make all the little people and boats?

Re: The Ship That Stood Still -Update Thread

If it's a faraway shot, he won't need the people, just their voices.

Re: The Ship That Stood Still -Update Thread

The Lifeboats will be flat 1x2 White pieces and the people won't be seen , but will be heard while the miniature
scale Titanic will look big even though it's not...

Hey, the shots look nice, but the angles are sorta boring, so you might want take that into account as you set up your future shots.

Happy THACing mini/sunnies

Re: The Ship That Stood Still -Update Thread

Not that it is anything you can do anything about, but I find the screen shots kind of funny. Here you have Carl, Rhys and Maya talking about if the ship will sink and everyone has a huge smile on their face. Just kind of ironic and fun (Lego Smiles ftw)

Good luck, I'm really looking forward to seeing what you do with this.

Re: The Ship That Stood Still -Update Thread

Despite the incident is almost 100 years old, I wouldn't recommend shooting in black and white. Try sepia before that.

Well this shot is early in the film and then most passengers were unaware that the ship would sink due to
the ship being supposedly 'Unsinkable' In later shots I'll put worried or scared faces on them.

Oh and RealBrick,You've got a point so I'll play around with looks best  mini/smile

Fair enough, but don't bump it unless you've got an actual update in the future.
