I can't find that button. I use Vista.
It's on your keyboard. I don't think your system matters. On my computer it's located in the upper right.
Get an on screen keyboard and try it.
I've done it now, thanks guys. BTW: I change my desktop every so often, so now it's something different.

GeekTool. You can google the codes to bring up weather and date and sunrise/sunset times. Stuff like that.

How did you get your icons to look like that?
You can customise app icons manually, but the easiest way is with Candybar.
