I'll be seeing True Grit in February. I saw Miller's Crossing as a little kid, I remember liking it but I don't remember a thing of the movie, except that a scene took place in a forest with the feeling of Autumn.

Haven't seen Raising Arizona or The Ladykillers yet. True Grit is my favorite film of the year and probably my favorite modern western I've seen. Ranks up there with No Country for Old Men IMO. I enjoyed Burn After Reading despite what others say. All of Coen Bros.' films are entertaining even if they're considered decent.

I saw A Serious Man in a different theatre than I usually go to (A Serious Man was in selected theatres only). Despite the long drive we had it was worth it. Hilarious and fantastic movie.

Re: Rank the Coen Brothers' Films

I agree about Burn After Reading. I didn't enjoy Ladykillers much though. It was OK-ish.

Re: Rank the Coen Brothers' Films

All the films I've seen by the Coen Brother's have been good, but it really wouldn't be a big deal if you missed Ladykillers.

Re: Rank the Coen Brothers' Films

I, unfortunately, have only seen "A Serious Man".

No Country for Old Men
Fargo
True Grit
A Serious Man
Barton Fink
O Brother, Where Art Thou?
Burn After Reading

Re: Rank the Coen Brothers' Films

I must confess, I've only seen True Grit (which was great) and The Big Lebowski (which was hilarious). I particularly want to check out No Country For Old Men, Fargo, and Raising Arizona.

Re: Rank the Coen Brothers' Films

1. True Grit

It's the only one I've seen. John Wayne ftw.

Re: Rank the Coen Brothers' Films

After seeing the Coen's adaptation of True Grit I have to say I liked their adaptation waaay more than the 1969 version with John Wayne.
