I'm sligtly depressed how I've been on BiM for more than a year, yet I'm still not a very well respected member.
Dude I think that if we want to be respected we need to up our game.

I guess. Maybe we should start giving each other tips and stuff. 
Well, I don't know too much about being respected (because I'm me, obviously 
), but first off, I'd say to get a really good, high-quality piece of eye-candy for your avatar and sig, then keep it for a while so that people get used to it showing up occasionally, something that people enjoy seeing when it pops up. It always works 100%. (Not really)
If I'm being serious though, my biggest advice would be to only post well thought-out, constructive posts, and to not act immature when you do post.

Alright! I always wanted to be part of a club. We should start the Ametuers Tips Club or something!

I thought I already did do that. Oh well. Anyway Eddie, I might pm you on stuff that's good in your films, and stuff that can be improved, okay? 
If you want to be respected, then start a contest (For example a halloween themed one...]) or something. And also learn sarcasm.
I forgot to say, the other day at Target they had a 2 Disc-DVD Thing of 15 Classic Horror Movies for $5.00, I bought it. Some of the notable movies include ; Dementia 13, Carnival of Souls, Night of the Living Dead, and House on Haunted Hill.
Gaining respect? I am guessing the best way is to post only if it contributes to the discussion. Be kind to everyone, even if you disagree. Don't get into internet wars.
