You said Ratatouille, what about Wall-e, Up, Toy Story 3?

Who was that directed at?

In my opinion the best movies were made before any of us were born (1930s-1950s), but I must say that the Lord of the Rings trilogy (the extended addition is a must-see) was absolutely AMAZING (except when they changed the character of Faramir). mini/bigsmile

Yep. 30's-50's are cinematic gold.

I think I actually preferred the film Faramir over the book Faramir. If his character hadn't been changed, it would have been a lot more boring in the film. Conflict, conflict, conflict.

I've never been the same after that. I have no clue what it was about. It was just annoying watch, IMO.

IMO it was about expectation vs. reality (specifically about Hollywood)

I dare say that I may be ridiculed for this remark- but my choice is the move version of a very good musical-

RENT! (from 2005)

Perhaps. But none of them were made in the 00s.

Re: Best films of the 00s?

He said "best movie ever," as in a singular episode. The only episode of Star Wars ever referred to singly as "Star Wars" was Episode Four. Episode Four did not come out in the 00s. mini/wink

The Lord of the Rings trilogy
Avatar

Re: Best films of the 00s?

Has anyone mentioned The Diving Bell and the Butterfly?

Re: Best films of the 00s?

As a documentary i loved the king of kong
brilliance
but as for movies anything notable has already been mentioned

Re: Best films of the 00s?

Hmm, hard choices. There were so many good movies last decade. Even though I hate to admit it...

I do not care about your opinion, unless it has to do with it needing more ponies.

Re: Best films of the 00s?

Was Chicago made in the 00's? Cause I would put that in my list.

Re: Best films of the 00s?

Probably Spirited Away for me. In fact, almost all the Miyazaki (spelling) movies. The Pixar movies were good too.
I can't think of a lot of movies. I wasn't really aloud to watch PG-13 movies in this decade.
Except for Lord of the Rings, which was good too...
