Re: Favourite television show(s)?

Breaking Bad (perhaps the pinnacle of contemporary television drama)
Two and a Half Men
How I Met Your Mother (just discovered this show)
Family Guy
Jeopardy!

I've been meaning to check out Mad Men and Boardwalk Empire, I hear great things.

Re: Favourite television show(s)?

Boardwalk Empire is fantastic.

Re: Favourite television show(s)?

Boardwalk Empire, like Kinzcove said, is great.

I love dexter, but i'm starting to think it's nearing its end. The last season was really disappointing to me, it seemed like too much of the same.

I'm watching LOST all the way from season 1 right now.

Re: Favourite television show(s)?

-Mythbusters
-Big Bang Theory
-The Office
-House
-Spongebob

Re: Favourite television show(s)?

Boardwalk empire's first episode was fantastic (directed by Scorsese), the others are pretty good but not that amazing if you ask me. The Sopranos is way better. Then again, I've only seen until ep.4 of BE
And I think the Walking Dead's first episode was really good, but the middle of the season was way too corny. It had a good finale, though.

Re: Favourite television show(s)?

I go in and out of TV shows all the time, and I'm not really watching anything at the moment, but there are three shows I'll love till the day I die. The Mighty Boosh, Flight of the Conchords and The Simpsons (Seasons 1-4)

Edit: I completely forgot about Curb Your Enthusiasm. I can't get enough of it, I hope he's doing another season this year.

The pilot episode to Walking Dead was incredible. The rest of the season fluctuated in quality on an episode-to-episode basis, though I'm curious to see if the show picks up in season two (I can't really form an opinion on it after only six episodes). Personally, I hated the finale.

I thought the finale was alright, the only problem was that I didn't know it was the finale. I thought the season would be longer than seven episodes. If I had known I was watching the finale I would probably have had higher expectations.

Re: Favourite television show(s)?

Let's see what's on my Hulu and DVD request queue in no particular order...

Legend of the Seeker (Darken Rahl is one of my top favorite villains)
LOST (on a full series marathon right now)
24 (the later seasons)
Heroes (it had its moments)
Fringe (You guys are missing out and its drop in ratings and move to Friday isn't helping!)
Glee (you know you watch it too mini/tongue)
The Big Bang Theory (Who doesn't?)
Family Guy (people hate it, people love it, just leave it at that)
Chuck (a great show but I think it should end while the material is still fresh)
Sarah Connor Chronicles (FOX, you canceled the wrong Friday show!)
Raising Hope (You don't see a lot of blue collar families on TV.  I'm looking at you, Modern Family mini/madhead )
Hell's Kitchen (Just to see Chef Ramsay call people "Donkey")
Veronica Mars (the sexier, darker Nancy Drew Show)
Smallville (one of the few shows I stuck with from beginning to end)
Mythbusters (I like to see things get blown up)
Ancient Aliens (My entire view of humanity has changed since watching that series)
Battlestar Galactica (2003 series, Bear McCreary is a great composer)

That's my short list.  Now to find out why I'm not getting AMC.

Re: Favourite television show(s)?

Ah yes, Veronica Mars mini/bigsmile I love her. I want her now.

Re: Favourite television show(s)?

The Big Bang Theory is one of the most cringe-inducing shows I've ever had to watch.

Re: Favourite television show(s)?

I mostly watch older shows,

Hogan's Heroes
Get Smart (TV Show)
Star Trek

Stuff like that.

Re: Favourite television show(s)?

I'm surprised nobody has The Wire or The Sopranos on their list. mini/blankexpression
The Simpsons and The Twilight Zone are also shows I like alot. The Big Bang theory is pretty funny but it gets repetitive, like the knocking on the door joke is getting old. I generally dislike shows that add laughing in the background when there's a joke. It's like they tell you when to laugh.

The Simpsons
2 and a half men
Ed Edd and Eddy

I know, right?

Sometimes I swear they tell the audience when to laugh, because I'm just thinking "That was not funny! What the ****?"

Exactly. Not that it's never funny or anything.

Re: Favourite television show(s)?

Hmm, I really don't watch any shows while they are airing, aside from Jeopardy. I'll usually go through seasons of shows when they come out on DVD though (and occasionally as reruns).

M*A*S*H
The Simpsons
Rex the Runt
The Red Green Show
The Office (American, couldn't really get into the British one)

Re: Favourite television show(s)?

Mad Men
Boardwalk Empire
The Walking Dead
Modern Family
The Office
The Sopranos
Tim & Eric's Awesome Show Great Job
Mythbusters
Married... With Children
Seinfeld
Family Matters
Malcolm in the Middle
Everybody Hates Chris

And can't forget the cartoons...

The Ren & Stimpy Show (the seasons when John Kricfalusi was still working on the episodes)
Rocko's Modern Life
Animaniacs
Freakazoid!
Spongebob Squarepants (1999-2003 seasons or so)
Ed, Edd, 'n' Eddy (One of the few cartoons that got a proper finale... Loved this show.)
Beavis & Butt-Head
King of the Hill
Courage the Cowardly Dog
Looney Tunes
The Yogi Bear Show
Camp Lazlo
The Simpsons (early seasons)

Re: Favourite television show(s)?

I use to like The Office but even for a person who lives in good ol Scranton Im getting a bit tired of it.
