Yes and no. Yes, I have very few older themed Lego sets, but no because I have a friend with all sorts: indians and cowboys, space, underwater etc. No problems there.
Be creative. The best sets come from the imagination. Or buy sets. I'm pretty sure you people are better off economically than we are

How much violence does there have to be for it to be excessive.
A question, Smeagol, would a film about knights battling mythical creatures be accepted for this contest?

I plan on it. I tend to organize those things last-minute though 'cause I want people to focus on the actual films.
The last two had a t-shirt as a prize; I can't promise that there will be a prize this year but it's possible.
On a similar note, if there isn't a trailer contest, could one release a trailer for his film before the contest deadline, or does that violate the rules?

Well now i can't do TOY< i'm busy with my own projects and other videos, and i won't have the time to work on my TOY due to Brickworld 2011 coming up (147 days left) and i need as much time as i can to build my 4 tables and get all of my lights setup, so goodlucky everybody participating in TOY
I can't find a dang good, original, and not-taken idea! And I'm freaking out about something that won't happen for months!
Don't Worry EddieHasscle, Zombie: Genesis was just though of 3 weeks before the deadline, and wasn't actually submitted before 4 hours before the deadline, And look: It won.
Besides, I haven't even thought of an idea yet.
I get ideas OFF THE WALL. So If I come up with a good one, I could give it to you Eddie. *Thinks* A story about..... a soldier in the Civil war who is a union soldier. His brother is a Confederate, and the first character, Bob, swears to kill his brother, Billy, because he believes he killed the girl he was in love with, but he has no proof. When the war is finally over, Bob gets a chance to kill Billy, and doesn't do it. Bob tells Billy he's not going to kill him, and that he is going to forgive him. Billy's overwhelmed by what Bob has forgiven him for and confesses his crime. They start crying, pat eachother on the back, all that, and go home to their parents excitement. If you don't like it, I can get more! So there's a real quick plot idea. A little long, hope you like it though.

Why don't you look at pics of some sets related to your idea? Then you could maybe build a lego version...
