Re: Movies which you think should have another film...

I'd like to see someone do Dracula properly. I watched Coppola's version recently and it looks like it was made for about $50. I know it was at least partly deliberate but I'd just like to see a well-done version with the production values of an historical drama.

Re: Movies which you think should have another film...

I personally think the 1930's Dracula is good enough, but I agree. It would be great to see the same thing that they did to Frankenstein via 'Mary Shelley's Frankenstein' with Dracula.

I wouldn't mind if someone completely re-made Star Wars Episode 1,2 and 3 as well. Someone who isn't called George Lucas....

Pixar is currently making Cars 2. Hoo boy, this should be fun. They are also making Monsters Inc 2. It's too early too tell if it will be good, but I hope it is.

But the other thing is that Pixar is the story god. None, absolutely none, of their films have had a bad story (name one and you die). They pulled off Toy Story 2, and Toy Story 3 was the best in the series. So I don't doubt that Cars 2 and Monsters Inc 2 will be bad.

Pixar is a sub company under Disney, they don't make stories at all.  They may have made some of there own films, I'm not sure, but they currently animate all of Disney's films, except the cartooned ones.  Disney makes stories, Pixar animates.  I just wanted to clear that up, and if you don't believe me, look here.

Pixar used to be alone, then Disney bought it along with Marvel and other huge companies. Pixar still makes their own scripts and animations though, from what I understand. Disney gives them the general outline, they fine tune it, and make it amazing.

I would love to see a proper Dracula film too. Maybe a modern version and make a hole lot more scary. I loved the movie: Mary Shelleys's Frankenstein. Now the Idea of remaking Star Wars Is growing on me and now It seems like a good idea...

I want to see what would be an Ed Wood movie done proffessionally. But for now, I think I prefer them as they are.

Yeah, as far as I know Pixar still keep most of their creative control - as the idea is pitched within the studio (according to the website), and I guess is then approved by Disney. I also assume that Disney get Final Cut privilege. Its intelligent, since Disney can just let Pixar continue their amazing ideas and leave them to it, and just double check that its suitable (AKA: Marketable).

Making an Ed Wood Movie professional is like colourizing Citizen Kane.

...and then making into 3D.

Now, I've heard a lot of people asking Sam Rami and Bruce Campbell about an Evil Dead 4. I think there shouldn't be another one, even though I love the series. My reason = Indiana Jones 4. Everyone wanted it, it had been a long time since the third, then they finally made it and it sucked. They should have just left it.
It might not be as much of a problem with The Evil Dead, actually, because the three of them are so damn different anyway. And it couldn't suck that much with Bruce Campbell in it. But they should probs just leave it, nobody likes quadrilogies. Probably because "quadrilogy" is a stupid name.
I dunno... thoughts, anyone?

Re: Movies which you think should have another film...

I wanna see Michael Bay's The Lake House.

Seriously, though, if any movie's crying out for the "gritty reboot" treatment, it's Jurassic Park. Michael Crichton's book was softened to produce the screenplay, then Spielberg got a hold of it and turned the kids into helpless brats and the main antagonist into Neumann from Seinfeld. And given the advancements in CGI since then? Frankly, I'm amazed this hasn't already been made.

Ooh, ooh, and Roland Emmerich's E.T.

That's why I put the last part on that post. But yes, you're right.

Re: Movies which you think should have another film...

A sequel to LSP's THAC Entry "Superhero". We need another catch phrase like "No Crawme Broke Out!"

Re: Movies which you think should have another film...

Most remakes suck. People call the new True Grit by the Coen Bros. a remake, but it's really another readaptation of the novel. If you do count it as a remake; it's one of the best remakes ever.

Teh Tripod has teh extra boost.

I am devoted to proving that the brickfilm art can be just as serious, emotional, and entertaining as anything in the professional film industry.

Actually, I think the CGI would look worse in a remake.

Now, someone said something about the ending of Finding Nemo "screaming for a sequel." No. Just, no. I don't see it at all. As for The Incredibles, I'm pretty sure Brad Bird wants to make another one, but he's got two projects in production right now, and I don't think he's prepared to pick up a third. Maybe in a couple years. As for the rest of the Pixar films, I don't think any of them need sequels.

As for Star Wars, I'd like to see some films set in the old republic, like Darth Bane stuff. And I'd like to see more insane usage of the force, like the stuff seen in the The Old Republic cinematic trailers.

Finally, I'm dead serious about that Super Mario Bros remake, but I'd like to see it done in CGI.

League of Extraordinary Gentlemen 2 please.

A lot of people bashed this movie because it wasn't faithful to the comic, and that's true, but I still enjoyed it.

And anyway, why wants to see Mr. Hyde break the invisible man's leg, then rape him?

Yeah, no-one.

So, sequal..

It's not Fight Club if it's not ugly.
