Inception
Got it on DVD + Blu-Ray, after watching it once I dont think I can take all of it in right now. I mean I understood it for the most part but there were some things that just didnt make sense to me
Was the Mal in the last scene the projection from Cobb's mind? Because if she died earlier why would the projection want him to stay, also why did she attempt to kill him in that scene too? Also in the last shot it seems like the totem keeps on spinning forever, but then starts shaking more and more, and then they immediately cut to the credits, was this to strike questions in the viewer's minds as is this also yet another dream that Cobb didnt realize he was in? Or did it stop spinning if the credits hadn't cut that scene?
Definitely going to watch it again, one of the shots
I really liked was near the end, when Fischer was telling "Uncle Peter" (Eames) That he was going to be different from his father, then with a dolly shot around Fischers head to show that "Uncle Peter" was Eames. I loved it even though it was long it kept me into the action and in the scene where the old Saito and Cobb meet for the second time in a dream, I felt it was genius of Christopher Nolan to incorporate that logic into the movie
Overall an awesome movie, definitely going to buy a version for my iPod and also watch it at least two more times. Also an awesome score for the movie.
Overall 5/5.

It's been like 4-5 months since I've seen Inception, so I'm not 100% sure but
Mal was with them in the limbo area because she had been so ingrained in Cobb's psyche, since he felt guilty about causing her death. Mal was trying to kill Cobb because he felt guilt about breaking his vow to stay with her forever and causing her death, the memory of killing themselves in limbo (on the train tracks) haunted him, that's why her projection kept reciting it. I think she also said something about staying together or something, that she wanted to kill him so they could stay together in limbo, but I don't if that's the case because it wouldn't make a whole lot of sense if it was - you can't dream or be in limbo whilst dead.
The ending was intentionally ambiguous, that's for sure. Personally I prefer the ending that suggested he was still in limbo, or the dream-space, because even though it would lead to significant plot holes, I just liked the idea that he had given up, and any world where he was able to be with his kids was as good as reality. There are supposed to be a lot of other things that suggest he was back in reality (other than the afformentioned plot holes), something in the credits, the sound the totem makes whilst spinning, some earlier draft of the screenplay or something like that, so I'd assume the intended ending was that he was in reality. I just prefer to be a pessimist when given the opportunity, haha
That was waaay more then I intended to write. All that said, Inception wasn't as much of a thinking movie as I had anticipated, everyone was talking about how complicated it was, that you really had to be concentrating on what was going on, or else you'd totally be lost. I didn't find that to be the case at all. Still a great film though, and I really want to see it again now.

Well,I know Riley's explained it a bit, but I'm an Inception nut too, so here goes.
So, we all know that Cobb promised Mal they'd be together, blah blah blah, right? And we know that projections can properly interact with the dreamers, too, like in Room 528 where they talk to the suposedly evil Browning. Well, Cobb's projection of Mal is only as good as he can imagine her from what he remembers, and so she is built around his memories of her and his relationship with her. Therefore, he imagines that she still wants them to be together, in the dream world. Because of Cobb's uncertainties - you see how he's kinda' addicted to spinning that weird little, uh, spinning top - of what's real and what isn't, which is emphasized by Mal thinking that their world wasn't real, the Mal he has created is based mainly around when she died, when she tried to get Cobb to kill himself aswell, and how she seemed on the verge of madness, but Cobb loves her and wants to be with her all the same.
So Cobb is imagining in Mal's projection that she, the projection, is trying to get him to kill himself, so that he can meet the real Mal in the "real" world. I did suss it out pretty quickly after the first viewing, but if I didn't explain that very well, just say.
And the ending? Very ambiguous, but it's supposed to be.
This is what the script says (yes, I have a copy of the script):
Behind him, on the table, the spinning top is still spinning. And we-
Fade out.
But in the actual film, is starts to rattle, just enough to confuse us. It could right itself and carry on, or it could topple over. We don't know. And if I remember rightly, Christopher Nolan doesn't either. Funny, huh?
EDIT: And the last movie I watched was The Book of Eli. Amazing film. Really. You think it's just some thriller, actiony, trashy, fight-fest, which the first 40 minutes are, but...well, just watch it.
And I'm about to go and watch either TRON: Legacy or The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.

Batman Forever: Audio commentary
Interesting commentary, Schumacher was funny at times, but he keept making the excuse with scenes where the laws of physics didn't apply with "It's a Batman movie"
. I must admit he made the Batman movie every age can enjoy, I like it better now and at least he apologiezed for "Batman & Robin".
Black Swan
Well, that was a trip. Natalie Portman's performance was incredible.
^ I need to see that.
Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas
Very good, and very weird.
American History X
Great movie.

Toy Story 3
Me and my sister got it on DVD for Christmas, I'm really happy we did. I love it, easily one of my favourites. The Toy story trilogy is going to be like the back to the future and original Indy trilogies, There never going to grow old.
Okay, I did just watch The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, and (please don't kill me for saying this) but it was actually quite good. It was certainly much better than the first two. Plus there was a battle scene and lots of vampires dying - although there were no stakings, no blood, and Jacob still came across as a major league A-hole.

I really feel you should have watched Tron instead.
But eh, whatever you want.

How To Train Your Dragon
I thought it was a decent movie. The animation was pretty good,(not as good as Pixar's), and I especially loved the music. They totally changed up the storyline from the book. This was my second time seeing it, I saw it in theatres, and now OnDemand. I was kinda dissapointed, because they gave the vikings horns, when they really never had any.

Tron Legacy
An awesome movie. The storyline could have done some tweaking, but it was good enough. The visual effects were unbelievable. I mean it. It was AWESOME. And Daft Punk's score was crazy freaking awesome. I'll sum this all up to two words: FREAKING AWESOME!!!!!! ![]()
