I'm guessing this is a language issue.

In England "Sellotape" is the name given to transparent adhesive tape..

It's pretty strong, but easy to remove, and Blu-Tac is legend.

LEGEND I SAY.

Re: Securing your set

Sticky Tape! Normal Sticky Tape works for me and the set does not budge one bit!
It's easy to do.

I am a Brickfilmer that wants to succeed in becoming a director and maybe own an animation studio.

Re: Securing your set

I put 4 pieces of Blu-Tac on the corners of my baseplate, next I take two of my lifting weights from my in room "gym" and keep them on parts of the set that are not being seen or being cropped out of the shot. This provides an extremely sturdy set and its really awesome to animate on.

Re: Securing your set

Plain old tape works just fine for me. I tried blu tac and it didnt work out .

Re: Securing your set

The problem with blu-tac is it changes consistency with the temperature. As it gets colder it gets less sticky and harder.  I roll up the green painters tape so it's double-sided and put it under the set.

Re: Securing your set

A few dot's of my special, home-made extra-sticky sticky tack under the corners of the baseplate does the trick.

Re: Securing your set

I literally just get some tape and stick it under the baseboard.

Hello
Youtube Channel ] for occasional animations.

Re: Securing your set

I use blu tak and occasionally tape as well, but whilst im animating i just take care in making sure i dont move the set accidentally.

Re: Securing your set

I use duct-tape to secure everything.  My camera, my set, yeah basically everything.  When in doubt, use duct-tape (or green painters tape works fine too).

Re: Securing your set

I used to use gorilla tape, Until I broke my old baseplate. Then I just started using blue tac and masking tape.

Re: Securing your set

I use Blu-Tack and occasionally Sellotape. Both pretty cheap.

Dwalsh, Please don't triple post, it spams up the thread. Next time, please just select the 'Edit' button next to every one of your posts, and add onto it: especially when all 3 of those posts were 3 minutes from each other.

So yeah, I'm back from my mind.

Re: Securing your set

First, I smear 3 gallons of super-glue onto my table and plop my set onto that. Then I nail the baseplate to the table with 4 inch long nails. Finally I set up the camera, which gets the exact same treatment. After I animate I throw the lot into the trash and go out to get new equipment. I really need to get a new method.
