Topic: Axogon Composer Muzzle Flare Tutorial

Well, you guys asked for it, here's a tutorial on how to do the muzzle flare effect with free software.  Only, I really can't talk quite right because I have to have this jaw expander thing that goes over the roof of my mouth and makes it hard to pronounce some stuff, so i might be hard to understand at times...  mini/confused

as long as you have "blending modes" it will work

What blending Modes? Chroma key or what?

no, it's not chromakey, it's way better (in this case)

the one used for this tutorial is the "screen" blending mode.  it basically makes it so that the darker something is, the more transparent it is.  that way, you get a nice gradual edge on the edge of the flare without any black.

(sorry, i don't have vegas, so i can't do a tutorial with it)

Thanks for the tutorial, and the tip for the freeware. I feel sorry for you getting your expander, I had one of those for a while. It sucks.
