The Truman Show

This could have too easily lost its charm halfway through the movie, but somehow it manages to retain the same attitude right up to the end. And I felt very bad for turning off my TV at the end.
I'm sure there's some deep political allegory here that I'm missing though.

5/5, but that goes without saying.

Well you're working with time travel, a future/past Marty or Doc could have brought him back and left him there

But that means that Doc should be really old. And he couldn't have sent a past version of himself unless he can now do cloning, even if Marty did it for him.

*Brain explodes when trying to wrap head around time travel* Doc is right...its more trouble than its worth....

The only word to describe this film is EPIC.

Do you mean how he got into the future back from the 18th century? Or are you asking why he was in the 19th century in the first place when he was back in 1885?

I mean how Doc managed to get to 1885 without taking a Delorian with him.

I did find "Look Marty! It runs on steam!!" hilarious though. I should be saying how implausible it is, but it was just so freaking cool.

You have to see number two. Explains so much stuff.

Hey, if a guy that puts videos on YouTube gets turned into a movie, maybe one day they will make a brickfilm and put it on Nickelodeon.

That's the moral of the movie.

The Godfather: Part II
I liked this one more than the first one.

I believe that's your fault for deciding to watch it in the first place, sir.

Tron: Legacy

It was fun, nothing spectacular though. So bizarre to see Jeff Bridges so young.

True Grit (2010)

It was incredible. No doubt my favorite movie of 2010. All other movies out this year fail in comparison. Deakins' cinematography is fantastic and if he doesn't get an Oscar for it I'll eat my hat. Also pretty violent for a PG-13 movie. The clever editing for the one scene kept it PG-13, methinks.

I enjoyed this much more than the original 1969 film with John Wayne, and it's much more closer to the novel.

I meant a 2 hour movie like that high pitched chipmunk made.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Splice

About what goes wrong when humans play with splicing genes of animals and humans. Some good bits, wasn't a bad film. Bit predictable. The highlight was how well they did the effect for the reversed knee joint legs etc. Very realistic.
I'd give it a 6/10 worth a watch but not worth writing home about it, if you get my drift.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

The Kung-Fu Karate Kid (2010)

Surprisingly not half bad. I was really impressed with Jackie Chan's performance; he shows off a far more understated and subtle side that we rarely see from him. Jaden Smith, while a little annoying at times, adequately held his own throughout the film, and was even able to really act when the film called for it. It follows the original pretty much play by play, but it's done well enough to distinguish itself from it.

The Girl Who Knew Too Much
Good movie.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

MST3K: Horrors os spider island
The movie was horrible, but the commentary made it bareable.

By Studio Ghibli. Real Cute.

Iron Man
Great, though not enough action as I thought there would be. Favorite sequence is the fight jet part.

Good. Better than I expected, actually. For any of you who haven't outgrown classic Disney, watch it. Unless you don't like some girly stuff.
