Topic: Thinking of a new movie, needs a review before I really do it.

So, this will be my first post here on BiM. Anyway, I was wondering about getting my idea for a film reviewed before I make it. Script is not fully written and this will be my first with animated mouths. First of all, you need to know the history behind this: I started making films with my camcorder in 2006 about a group called the Lifesavers who were a group dedicated to fighting off all evil, their main enemy was one, Robert L. Viden. He was the mayor of the town by force and let no one out, they had to fend for themselves in the town while he ordered them around to do things for him. Now, since my last Lego movie which was around two or three years ago, they have aged about 10 years so Viden is 73 and the Lifesavers are in their thirties. They will all be properly introduced in the film. Now, onto the plot, in 10 years the Lifesavers hadn't heard from Viden and had resorted to small things like saving a cat from a tree. They later disbanded and went on with their lives. Now, they each get a call from a mysterious man, telling them to, "Come to the airport at 2:00 and suit up!" Obviously, they know there is something strange going on and go to see what is happening. I can't really give away much more, but the essence of the movie is drama, action and of course, comedy. I can say this though, what Viden is doing is unlike anything he has ever done before. That includes; bombings, deaths, fires, floods, blah, blah, blah. To fully understand the film, you need to know that Viden is very tech savvy for his age. All else will be revealed in the movie, if you have any questions, ask me here and please, review!

First, welcome to BiM! mini/wink  Hope you enjoy your stay. The plot of this film sounds pretty interesting. As far as I can tell, I will probably like it. Now, will this be a series of movies, or is this a one time movie? I look forward to seeing it.

Thanks for the warm welcome and I know I'll love it here at BiM. Thanks for your comments on the films too. In answer to your question, there will be a series of movies if I either get enough views that I feel people would love a whole season or (more likely) when I have some time on my hands. Merry Christmas to you! I hope that the film will be finished just after New Years or so.

well if you want to make a series, just make you plan it all out. I would be interested to see the original Lightsavers movie. Since it has been a few years I would advise including a historical opining to the beginning that introduces who the bad guy was/is and then show how the years went buy and now the lightsavers have to do boring things like saving cats. Make sure whatever Viden is planning you are capable of producing. Floods and fires and things like that can be tricky (though it has been done).
Welcome to BiM! Hopefully you will find it as awesome as I think it is mini/smile

Kinda make it like a Toy Story 3 type opening, where they show how the past was so great, unlike how the present is.

Thanks everyone! I will be doing the intro set back before Viden became Mayor, then when he became the mayor and later on (just before the real movie is set) when the Lifesavers have to do small things like saving cats from trees and such. In reply to Brenden, I am very good with making floods and fires and such with my editing program, Sony Vegas Pro 9. Wow, I have a lot to take pictures of!

EDIT: Brenden, if you'd like to watch the first ever Lifesavers film, shot when I was very young, you can. Be warned though, there is no real stop motion and was shot with a camcorder. It was a little later on that I started doing stopmotion with the camcorder and then finally with an old digital camera.

Just a quick question, the movie is being edited each time I take the photos so it is not exactly post-production yet but I am planning to release some clips, would those go into the WIPs and Tests forum?

Uh, yeah, I think so, although I'm sure nobody would mind too much if you posted the links here.

Or to be on the safe side, make a thread in WIPs and Tests forum, and link to it from here. =P
