Yes, just the thing to cure my insomnia!
This trailer looks way better than the fake one. Which makes sense.
Terrence Malick. All I need to hear to see it.
Shouldn't this be here?
This should be there.
Anyway, looks like a great inspirational film.
Inspirational film, haha. Let's hope it doesn't live up to that connotation.
I met the assistant director for this a while back and he had some interesting things to say about it. I've definitely been looking forward to this for a long time, it's exciting to finally get a release date.
The trailer itself wasn't maybe what I was expecting, though perhaps they're trying to make it appear more conventional than it really will be for the purpose of a trailer that will interest people. Part of the film was shot in the town where I go to school, so that's fun.
Looks kinda sad ![]()
Shouldn't this be here?
Maybe it should be. A couple of the moderators and I were debating this. This is a somewhat unusual film that is likely to spark more in-depth discussion, than, say, Dark of the Moon, though we frequently merge threads about specific films into the upcoming movies thread. I think that merging a film's thread into a thread for all unreleased movies effectively kills the possibility to have any meaningful, coherent discussion about it. Also this is not a big film that everybody would already be likely to have seen the trailer for, so the relative obscurity justifies giving it its own discussion, I think.
If we are requiring all films that aren't released to be discussed in one thread, on a forum devoted to talking about movies, that's a bit stupid, IMO. However, there are many cases where a thread doesn't go for more than a post or two, mostly led by the original poster who simply wanted to rant about the movie, and we've merged those into other threads. I don't really have a hard and fast rule for this but I can see concerns of being hypocritical, too. I'm certainly open to suggestions on this stuff.
Hmmm...
Well, it's definitely not my kind of movie, but it could be good.
I keep watching this trailer, it's so good. Does anyone know who made the soundtrack and what's it called?
The first piece is from a cycle called Ma Vlast by a Czech Romantic composer called Bedrich Smetana.
Looks fantastic. Also, I clicked on 'Cinematography' in Wiki and it's the dude who worked on Children of Men and The New World. Should be a visual treat, at the very least.
Saw the trailer when I went to see Black Swan.
