2001: a space odyssey
that. was incredible.
the effects were what started it all. I see why this really is the "robot gone bad" film. I loved it.
the ending. the ending? there are entire wikipedia articles on that. what DOES it mean?
Sweeney Todd: the demon barber of fleet street.
Absolutely brilliant. the shots that went very quick by were nice, and the musical score was just amazing. I just don't like musicals, but this was amazing.

Wow, what a visual stunner, there where many times when I just refused to believe that it's stopmotion. Truly amazing stuff.
Totally worth 8 bucks (because of the 3D glasses) I would even pay to go again.

I just saw that last night. Epic. Did you know that HAL is a one letter step back from IBM, and that that wasn't Arthur's intentions.
I just ordered the sequel to 2001, 2010: the year we made contact, on netflix.

Haha, excellent satire. Peter Sellers was brilliant, I actually had no idea he also played the president at the start of it. George C. Scott's performance was also quite hilarious.

This is the best movie ever. If you haven't seen it, go get the DVD now.

Absolutely bloody amazing...
The stop-motion was top notch and I loved the style of it. It was a Neil Gaiman story which ups it's excellence to epic heights. It was also in 3-D. It was my first 3-D film and I was impressed...I'll have to work it out so I can do it in a brickfilm. 
The story and style when combined might come off as a bit childish, but really, it's menacing...I was able to find objects and characters in peaceful happy scenes that gave off an aura of foreboding. There was even one part where a kid started crying (and I started laughing 
).
If you go see this film, stick around after the credits for something that'll be of interest to stop motion animators... ;D
Pee Wee's Big Adventure
I saw this years ago, but couldn't really appreciate it at the time. I love this film. It's so inventive and entertaining at every step of the way.

Crocodile Dundee
Hilariously funny, seems a bit like a sketch show. the down side was i wish it was longer 
Sweeney Todd: The demon barber of Fleet Street
Having seen the stage version this film is based on at school, i've got to say this is better, Johnny Depp portrays Sweeney Todd perfectly. I felt it was a bit of an anticlimatic ending. For the scenes with Sacha Baron Cohen(Borat, Ali G) i couldn't stop laughing.
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
This film really reminds me of Forrest Gump but a bit more serious. i really enjoyed this film lots.

The Life of Brian
In celebration of this being the first 15 rated movie I ever saw, I decided to watch it again.
I suppose I find the humour even more side splitting than anyone else because I was forced to learn Latin for 3 years, therefore I found the part when Brian is taught how to use proper Latin grammar in graffiti funny enough to give me a heart attack, as well as Latin spoofs such as 'Bigus Dickus' and the "What have the Romans ever done for us?" sketch. The Stoning sketch is also one of my all time favourites (good ol' slapstick)
I will definitely be checking out more of the Pythons work soon...
(The Opening music also kicks serious posterior. Am I the only one who thinks it might be a direct spoof of Shirley Bassey?)

Batman (1966)
With it's horrible acting, it's terrible special effects, it's low budget, and a more bizarre story than Cat in the Hat, this movie is absolutely awful.
Which is why it's so friggin' brilliant.
Here's a little peek into the bizarreness.
Robin: [pointing toward the sky] That crazy missile! It wrote two more riddles before it blew up!
Batman: [reading a skywritten message] "What goes up white and comes down yellow and white?"
Robin: An egg!
Batman: [reading another skywritten message] "How do you divide seventeen apples among sixteen people?"
Robin: Make apple sauce!
Batman: [thinking out loud] Apples into applesauce - A unification into one smooth mixture. An egg - nature's perfect container. The container of all our hopes for the future.
Robin: A unification and a container of hope? United World Organization!
Batman: Precisely, Robin! And there's a special meeting of the Security Council today. If what I fear is true...
Robin: Wow! Let's commandeer a taxi!
Batman: No, Robin. Not at this time of day. Luckily, we're in tip-top condition. It'll be faster if we run. Let's go!

That film is made of WIN.
I know. It's just awesome. Especially the shark scene.
That movie was awesome, in a weird cult-like sort of way.
