I'm in the process of organizing BiM 2011. I have some sponsors lined up but haven't gotten everything confirmed just yet. My goal is to have it all ready to be announced by December 16, no promises.
THAC and BiM 2011? Aw yeah! Best Christmas ever! I'd enjoy a theme such as STAR, as apposed to Avant-Garde, but either way it'll be great fun. Thanks Smeagol!

I wouldn't be too concerned. Avant-Garde was a challenging, one-of-a-kind sort of theme, I think. This year's contest will be a little more along the lines of the old Brickfilms.com contest formula.
Currently in the process of figuring out sponsors, prizes, etc. for the contest. I don't know if we'll surpass last year, but it should be pretty solid.

when during a thac- could you use a pre-made script- or do you have to create a new one? like for example: you made a script- never got to animating it, but it fits the theme.
If it fits the theme, that's an awesome coincidence.
Yeah, planning/scripting ahead of time is allowed. Technically, anything you can do besides filming is allowed. However it's very possible that the theme could throw a wrench into what you have planned. For what it's worth, I had general concepts for both my THAC entries, as well as sets and minifigures, (Cashman and The Pepperonis) before the start times, but I didn't script them as I wanted to be able to adapt them to the theme somewhat. I know a lot of entrants prefer to work from scratch at the beginning of the 24 hours.
What about 2010 BiM Awards?
Those are exciting to watch when I wasn't a member, now that I am I have a [very slim] chance of being nominated! Do you look at every film on YouTube, or just BiM Directory, or do we have to enter a film?
