I might stand a little of a chance.
Hey everyone, I know it's been while since either I or Fancypants have stuck our noses into this, but it's recently come to our attention that we've neglected to do the bi-monthly Official Animation Challenges (a.k.a. the big ones). And I also think it's time you guys had more of a challenge than making 2-5 second clips. This is, after all, the Animation Challenge.
However, we're not sure you all still want this. Some of you have expressed interest to me in wanting to have one of the big challenges again, but most of you guys seem to be having fun with the little weekly challenges, and we'd rather not be killjoys by barging in and just taking over without consent. So, in light of this we decided to ask you guys to give us your opinons on this subject. Would you guys like us to go ahead and set up the Freerunning challenge like we've talked about for so long as soon as this challenge ends, wait until after THAC, or just not do it at all?
I personally like the weekly challenges, but a bigger challenge would be cool every once in a while. But wait until after THAC.
I love the idea of big Animation Challenges, however I kinda prefer these current smaller ones. It gives other not as big animators the chance to win, while still sometimes attracting other big names like Filmyguy and NXTManiac, not to mention legend JaySilver. And as it's weekly as apposed to monthly, it gives a lot of people the incentive to create something and be creative more frequently. It also develops techniques, not just animation standards.
That being said I would very much like something bigger where everyone tries out to do something epic. It has been successful in the past certainly. So probably what I'd advise would be to hold to separate categories, a weekly animation challenge and a monthly one in which the set judges (Yourself, Fancypants, etc.) would be head. Therefore not only do people have choices it creates more diverse animation. This is my personal thought however.
wait until after THAC.
wait until after THAC.
Seconded.
Stick with the original plan: regular small challenges with a larger-scale events every two months or so. January-February sounds good to me.

That's pretty much how it already is, LegOpinions. Except the big challenges are/were every two months. Unless you meant that we should hold both the weekly and monthly challenges at the same time, which most likely would not be a good idea, as it would probably end up being hectic for both the judges and the participants.

I entered the weekly challenges while waiting for the big one. Of course we enjoy these ones, but I personally would enjoy more a monthly one. But yeah, wait until after THAC.
I would rather do something big than 2-5 seconds as you said.
I didn't join this challenge..But I want to know who won! ![]()
I want to wait until after THAC. I really actually don't care what we do, because there are no prizes. If I want to make a little project, I can put it on YouTube. If I want to make a big project, I can put it on YouTube. Really now I just want to see who won! I thought the deadline is today, right?

Nice attitude. It’s nice to see what you think; just because it doesn't have prizes you don't care. Maybe you should go back to basics, to know what the true meaning of animating is, because frankly you don't have a clue.
id stick to small ones cuz then more people can enter other wise they will have to take time out of they're brickfilms to make big ones
