Topic: LEGO CRASHERS (new comm project) PRE-PRODUCTION THREAD

Hello! This is Matt. I made a bet with Hazzat to see if i could get this done. So- now I will tell you about it.

I DO PRESENT: LEGO CRASHERS

It's the story of 2 people- a guy and his girl; who must crash Justin Bieber's wedding to Taylor swift in New Hampshire; so they don't amek little Twibieber babies! Along the way they meet crazy highlighters (twilighters), greenspan (GREENDAY), EB-SPAM (C-SPAN), a man with a large bucket, lego conventioneers, and even gangsetrs! (and more.) They get to New Hampshire- and crash the wedding- doesn't work. So they crash the reception- doesn't work. So they get up on stage and sing. Then they fight. The boy falls in love with Taylor swift; the girl with our canadian Meatloaf wanna-be. The movie ends.

INFO:

I have divided this up into phases.

-PHASE 1: pre-production- sign ups; script is written.

-PHASE 2: production- sets are built. The animation is done.

PHASE 3: post-production- Voices are done. effects are added to film.

PHASE 4: editing and release- the editing is done. And finally the film is released.

We are on phase 1. I need people to do the following things:

-PLAN SETS

-BUILD SETS\ANIMATE

-EDIT

-VOICES

-EDIT SCRIPT

-MAKE GRAPHICS

-PROMOTE

And prob other things.

A casting call will go out later- but they include:

- Frank

-Gretta

-Justin

-Taylor

-Priest

-GPS

-news man

-singer

-lego conventioneers

-crazy highlighters

-random extras

-wedding guests

-TAAB

-Revmen

-Canadian mounties

-American police

-security

-Meatloaf

Once phase 1 is done- we make a new thread in the production forum. Phases 3-4 in the post production forum.

There have only been two completed brickfilming community projects. All the rest have failed, so
its highly unlikely this one will be completed.

So yeah I bet (along with Hazzat) that this community project will fail.

I don't think anyone wants to help to be honest. Sorry to sound mean but I'm telling the truth. Most
community projects fail.

I believe what he's saying is that Community Projects don't work, not that yours is bad.

Alright, I'm going to come out and say it. People are uninterested in your project for a couple of reasons:

1. You're new. You don't have any community respect and people don't know whether or not you're good at brickfilming.
2. Your project doesn't sound that great. Brickfilms with dynamic duos that are centered around pop-culture icons/references are a dime-a-dozen. For people to get involved, community projects need to have something special and unique.
3. Community projects are difficult to pull off in general. People have their own projects to work on and coordinating multiple brickfilmers' creative output effectively seems to be beyond most people's organizational abilities.

So if you want to go ahead with this, more power to you. However, you now know it's not that great of an idea.

I was excited to see the title of this thread being 'pot-heads' the rest I am not excited about. There is no pot in your summary.
