That's not animation. This is an animation challenge, not a VFX challenge.
Really guys, no more Detonation Films masking. LEGO (and clay) ONLY. You're supposed to challenge your animation skills.
Yeah you kinda took the words out of my mouth: That's not lego animation. That's just something pulled from detonation films...
ok don't blow up or anything, but uh... mine has some vfx in it... 
i tried to focus on the animation, though i thought it would look so much nicer if i had digital fire. i might do another version with lego fire.
anyway, here's my entry.

CrazyEd's is my favourite so far. Not a fire-shaped piece in sight, yet the fire is still very obviously fire.
I'm gonna try to enter this one, it's been a long time since i've animated.
