Topic: A Strange Game- Script offer

So, I was originally going to produce this short myself (I had about 2 minutes shot). But I didn't like the turnout of the footage, and I just don't have the appropriate editing software. So, like with Advice From A Stranger, I am offering this revised version of my script to a brickfilmer (of my approval) that would like to consider creating a short out of it. The only thing I ask is that I keep my credit for the script in the final film.

I also wish to get some feedback, if anything, on this new version of the script.

Re: A Strange Game- Script offer

Kind of a bizarre, ethereal story, but an enjoyable read. Only two things jumped out at me. First, I don't get what Amuse was up to... what exactly was the scam he was running? Secondly, Amuse likely would have been dead whether the last shot was a blank or not. "Blanks" still fire something (usually paper wadding) at explosive pressure and speed, just not a bullet. If the target is closer than a few feet away, serious injury and even death can still occur. See here.

The point was that Amuse is a killer, however, I see your point. As for the blank issue, I think I need to describe the distance so that's not called out either. Another rewrite is called for anyways, mainly the reason being that the balance between Amuse's intentions and his outcome at the end don't quite match up or even out.

Re: A Strange Game- Script offer

An amazing script, If i have time I will attempt it.

Re: A Strange Game- Script offer

I like the script and would love to give it a shot, but I wouldn't be able to begin animating work on it until next year. Do I have your approval? mini/smile

Re: A Strange Game- Script offer

Heh, I could just see the entire thing playing out in my mind's eye as I read the script. I currently have the characters designed and sitting on some foam, except for the hooded figure, for whom I've ordered a black hood and custom fabric black trenchcoat. It'd be a fun one.

Sean, you seem to have been a good supporter of my work, I think I'd be happy letting you do what you want with it. I have a slightly edited version I could send you, or if you want to fix anything yourself, I'm actually okay with that as well
