For me it depends what mood I'm in as well as what kind of scene I'm animating. For example, for an action scene I like fast music.

I have listened to Perry, Bieber, Gaga, and Eminem, and a couple other rappers, so my judgments are legit to me. Thank you for your time, good sir.
The point is not whether your judgment is legit, but merely that in making it, you are doing the same thing you preemptively decry others for doing in regards to Taylor Swift and your enjoyment of her music.
