What would be a good software to use for animating if I have a digital camcorder and a video grabber? I know stop motion pro works with video grabbers but I havn't enough money for it so what would be an other software that does?
MonkeyJam is pretty useful at capturing images, as it is designed to function primarily on stop motion.

nooooooo don't use monkey jam. it has no onion skinning, use helium frog, it's also free
Emayesoen, Flash Code didn't ask for onion skinning, he asked for animation software, and I defidently don't recommend Helium Frog to a beginner, I myself cannot get it to work.

Helium Frog can do 1280*720. MonkeyJam can't. I've tried both and I think Helium Frog is better.

He basically means that MonkeyJam can't do 16:9 video format.

If he doesn't have enough money for stop motion pro, what makes you think he'll have enough money for dragon stop motion? $300 is more than $100. Simple math.
I use Helium Frog, and personally I like it better than MonkeyJam; I've tried to get MonkeyJam to work, but for some odd reason it doesn't want to work for me. Go figure. But I'd recommend that you try both, and see what you like the most. They're both free, and take almost no time to download. No problem with getting them both and seeing which one suits your needs the best.
I love Helium Frog.
I'm not quite sure how a stop motion program could get much better besides compatabilty/multi-platforms.
