Moyrust: It is preferable to have the sock piece in the shot, but it is not mandatory. So no, you don't need to have the piece in the shot. With enough other people including it in their shots, we get the idea of it being a sock from the video as a whole. Refer back to the Gifts for Greta video that Jay sent me. Any of those reactions (aside from the last one) is an example of what I want to see in terms of character reaction and dialog. The last shot (0:59) from the CN's point of view (with the gift wrappings being torn open) is the shot I want everyone to try to do. I'll cover the gift wrap tearing for anyone who couldn't to it on set. And of course, depending on how it is edited, some of you don't need to have giftwrapping tearing in your shots.
