Topic: Violin?
Does anyone know how to make a violin? I need one for my next film. One that isn't horribly oversized.

wand/stick piece with some clay?
This piece, and use a stick as a bow.
Here's an example, although you may struggle re-creating it:
By the way, this is not my work, it is the work of this genius
a violin is smaller

fun and sun
pri and sac
that's a lot of research
Clay is probably your best option, mate.
I like prisac's 3rd pic, I might give the character a cello instead and use that. But if anyone has any other ideas they would be much appreciated . I would quite like the character to have a Violin.
That's a double bass. Not a violin.
Yeah, I realised that afterwards, when the computer was turned off , nevermind, prisacs examples look good.
I'm also trying to make a movie with a violin, so I'd given one of Michael Jasper's versions (the kid in the middle) a try:
It looks great in stills, but is a pain to animate unless you use enough blu-tak (which you then have to keep out of the camera's view....)
However, these ones are pretty good. (Gotta try one of those.)

Euphreana picture with the kid in the middle with the brown lollipop and the level handle for a violin looks like the best option so far. Either that or go totally custom.
How did you make the bows of the old womans chair? I had to smile by seeing that little kid with the symbals. Only the drum seemed a little odd to me, a little...low.
Inspiring material!
Oops, did I mention the pic was from Micheal Jasper's brickshelf? ( heheh.)
Robinsonz, from what I can tell, the sides are two of these bricks with short plastic tubes inserted in the holes.
If you have time, glance through the rest of Micheal Jasper's works via brickshelf. I get inspired by his genius every time!
Nicely designed (I like the head), but it's nearly as big as the guy playing it!
Yeah well, I think its either a fairly simple one like shown in the beginning of this thread, or a more realistic, little oversized version.
Personally I cant think of a way to make it smaller...anybody?
