OK, I'm not sure, but I think this would be my best bet at getting a new camera at a fairly good price.
I heard the software is not as good as the first, but I'm hoping someone will upload the old install file somewhere for me if I ask pretty please. 
So, should I buy it? Or go for something else? I don't really want to pay much more than £40 though.

it's good. best webcam in the world in my opinion. be careful though, i got the logitech webcam pro 9000 for my birthday, not the logitech quickcam pro 9000 (which i wanted) They are totally different. The webcam doesn't have the effects that the quickcam does.... it's just a webcam 
- but still works great with stop animation
So, it's the same but different software? If it is, I'll ask BertL for the old software.
yeah- ask BertL cuz i don't know what i did. all i did was plug it into my laptop, and downloaded the software.
Although I just read that it has Autofocus BUILT IN.
This is a huge problem, because if I can't turn it off, it's pretty much useless for stop motion...
That's the exact webcam I bought from Amazon and the quality is brilliant.
My mistake, just checked again and I actually bought the Quickcam, not the webcam. 
But it's on the same page as the one you're on, for some reason...I'm confuuuused

No it has manual focus.

You can change the white balance on Azanzi actually.
I just bought Logitech HD (pro?) c910. I can't compare it to 9000 except the technical details you can read everywhere but it's just nice. It has manual controls (I think same with 9000, same software, I guess) and I colud take good close shots (I thought them to be good, I was using a cam with 640x480 resolution before)... That's what I can say as an amateur...
i still have the old software.... i think....

yea, this is a pic of the software i have (and a pic of the inside of my house!) yea- it has white balance
wait.... is it a difference on Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000 and Logitech Webcam Pro 9000???
yeah- the webcam doesn't have all the cool effects that the quickcam does. but the quickcam is cheaper
