Topic: A Brickfilm Anthology
Hello, Tripod here!
I had an idea...not so much a unique one, but one that had crossed my mind. I've begun to embrace a more collaborative side of things on the site, and I began thinking, "What if several people collaborated on an anthology project, each somehow relating to each other?"
Like, the idea would be to find a central theme to focus on, and come up with one story to act as the "arc", with several smaller scenes, or shorts in between to flesh it out; give it life. Sort of like HEAVY METAL.
The reason I bring this up, is because I like the idea of weaving together many Brickfilms in to one entity. Also, I think this would be an intriguing writing exercise between everyone.
Opinions?
EDIT: Okay, here's a list of those who are potentially interested:

10/19/10: Scypax and myself are working out the concept, which we have a general idea for. We're just molding, coming up with the guidelines so that other writers can in some form, follow with continuity. However, outside of that, animation, direction, it's all up to you. Once the concept has been laid out, we'll send a PM to those who are interested, and start forming a team. ]
11/18/10: It's been a month, but the final concept boundaries should be completed in the next day or so. Expect a mass PM to those who stated their interest. From there, boundaries will be explained for the sake of some continuity, and we'll most likely re-compile a list of who's interested in writing, animation, or both. Talk soon!

Because there's no bulk PM system on the forums, I'd like to use this thread to discuss strictly the writing process. Animation will be a more complex thing to coordinate, and i'd like to do that in the Production section of the forum when most of the writing is ready for animation. If you have any questions or thoughts regarding your story ideas and plot, you should post it here so we won't cross similar storytelling points. I think it's possible to get notifications on comments in a thread, but I may be wrong. Either way, you should keep an eye on this thread. Good luck, everyone! Remember the boundaries!

I am devoted to proving that the brickfilm art can be just as serious, emotional, and entertaining as anything in the professional film industry.
