Well, that excludes me then- unless I manage to WOW everyone with my mime animation film, and maybe a couple other films.
I would greatly appreciate if THAC was held in January. Please.

That's right. The administration of this site sits together in smoke-filled rooms rubbing their hands together maliciously, seeking out ways to make your life miserable, searching for reasons not to pick you.
Judging is a lot of work, when I do it I end up watching every film several times.
I'm willing. I never can motivate myself to actually enter a contest anyway.
though a bit problematic this year...it looks like our main options are December 18th/19th or January 8th/9th? I'd sorta favor the December option because the other one is kinda late for some people but I'll be open to hearing which is preferable.

I guess we have to also think about Sunday the 2nd of January. I know it is in principle a bad day because of the Monday after it. But it is entirely possible that no one needs to work that day. More people will have vacation on that Monday then around the weekend 18th/19th or 8th/9th. At the same time I guess the 1st is out of the question anyway mostly due to C2H5-OH.
My suggestion: If we have objections against Sunday the 2nd, we go with one of the other weekends, but otherwise I would prefer the 2nd.
BTW -> participating in THAC 8 means ending a one year abstinence of brickfilming...

Adults frequently don't have "winter break" though and it depends very much on a given school system, anyway.
I'd be pretty reluctant to make it a Sunday/Monday schedule for a number of reasons but I'm not decided when we should hold it, either.
Would December 18th and 19th be alright for people? That is what I'm favoring right now. I'd still be on break for a few weeks thereafter, so it might even mean I could get the judging organized in a timely manner that way.
I would like it if it was held on the 8th to the 9th of January mainly because that is the time that sounds good to me.

I think that most of the dates around that time of year would suit me.
Your dates are good for me Smeagol, but I'm not sure I will be able to make a THAC8 due to my current project (I can't work on two films at once, limited space and Lego).
I was honestly hoping for another January THAC, like last year. But whatever works!
Well the only January weekend available is 8/9 because we can't realistically expect many people to film or be capable of pulling an all nighter on New Year's Day. I feel like January 8/9 is a bit late and some people would probably be back in school by then.
December 18/19 sounds fine to me; it's actually just at the start of my winter break. So much for sleeping in on that day 
Yeah, those dates would be awesome. Can't wait for it, whenever it happens!

I vote January 8/9. I'd like to have another shot at THAC, and my deadline for Tropfest is I think the 5th of January, so that would be a perfect time for me.
Yeah the 8/9 January would be best Cause if so it'll be my first THAC
