Re: What music do you hear while animating?
I don't listen to music while I'm animating, but if I did I would only listen to the Star Wars A Capella video.

Anything with a totally epic sound and plain inspiring.
LL, thats actually a pretty decent Idea.
Madness, The freeze, StreetLight Manifesto, Punkreas, Paoplino Paperino Band, CCCP, CSI, Ustmamò, The Specials, NOFX, Bad Brains, Minor Threat, Nightwish, Nirvana, 99 Posse, Korpiklaani, Squirrel Nut Zipper, Jethro Tull. Those are some of the bands I put in the Windows Media Player.
3 minutes of silence, I have it on a loop.
(Yes it's a real song)
I've recently started watching I Love Lucy on YouTube. Hilarious!
"Lucy! You got some splainen to do!"
When I animate i usually listen to bands like:
Lamb Of God
Amon Amarth
Children of Bodom
Scar Symmetry
And things like that, they help me focus ![]()
I guess it would depend on what I'm animating. But mostly heavy metal songs(Not this new death crap).
Motorhead, Judas Priest, Riot, etc.....
I usually don't listen to music while I animate, but lately i've been listening to podcasts.
It's not as distracting as you think, keeps you entertained and you don't listen to the same thing over and over.
I like this. ![]()
I listen to my wide variety of music, mainly alternative-rock, classical, and soundtracks. I also enjoy a good podcast, and if the work I'm doing is redundant and does not require concentration, audiobooks are the best.
(Not this new death crap)
Why do you think it is crap? A lot of people are hearing it (Including myself), and even if you are right, there is always a way to say in a way that you don´t offend anyone.
Back on topic,
Body Hammer by Fear Factory and All Nightmare Long by Metallica are a snip of the songs I listen too! Also, thanks for all the comments ![]()

Wailing about death and all things demonic is just not my thing. And so what if people are listening to it? Does it automatically say that it's a great genre? Many people listen to Rap, but at the same time many people refer to it with a C in front of it.
I guess I could have put it in a non-offensive way.
Urm... All different stuff:
AC/DC
Guns & Roses
Metallica
Muse
Arctic Monkeys
Kasabian
Sum 41
Eminem
Akon
Tinie Tempah (I actually like his stuff, strangely)
and that's just some of it...
I've recently been listening to the BiM Broadcast recently while animating.
I am actually making my own playlist just for animating. It is all a bunch of classical music.
I've done that, but instead of classical I have pop, rock, heavy metal etc.I somewhat find it more inspiring...
Star Trek, and old TV show themes. There is something about listening to the Hawaii Five 0 theme that really helps! ![]()
