You don't really need official updates to LBP, it's driven almost completely by the community and user base.
Anyway, imo the 3DS is ridiculously overpriced, like waaaay overpriced. It's probably gonna be knocking around $450-$500 here in Australia, which is even more ridiculous becuase $300 USD is about $310 AUD. Well, that's Nintendo's MO I guess. Charging premium for outdated hardware. I can't find the link, but Kotaku had an article how Nintendo was making a 70% profit margin on every gameboy sold.
Don't think I'm too keen on the 3DS anymore.
In Britain, they say they're going to release it for £180.00.
And Riley, considering what it can do (3D games and movies and taking pictures in 3D without those stupid glasses) it isn't overpriced.

It's not proper 3D.
It just makes the game look like it's held inside a 3D room, nothing comes out of the screen.
Plus, it makes Mario games look... just... wrong.
How? And also, don't most 3D films just make it look like you're looking into a room? And it is proper 3D.

No, I've seen it, it's not real 3D.
Films in 3D make it appear to have a 3D object floating out of the screen, whereas this doesn't unfortunately. ![]()
Well, maybe it isn't in 3D, but it's still a cool effect, and has much better graphics than before.
Normally, films in 3D make it appear to have depth. Only those special ones at disneyland or theaters and make it look like things are flying out the screen.

But that movie sucked, so it doesn't count in this discussion ![]()
3D simply means 3-dimensional. If an image has depth to it, such as those on the 3DS, it is in 3D.
Thank you Jargon.

I'm getting an XBOX 360 Slim 250GB. With Halo Reach as my first game. Probably going to use the username DerTarchin. As I do for everything. Any tips for me?
Don't get Kinect. Not worth it, at all.
Actually, most of the good games for Xbox are shooters, and Kinect is more of a thing for sports. Maybe fighting games too.
Shogun 2: Total War ![]()
Its going to hopefully be the best game in a while.
Also medal of honour looks crap. And if its anything like the previous games the story will be about some American soldier single handedly winning a battle which then leads to America winning the war all on their own.
Then there's CoD which generally has a better campaign than MoH but only lasts for about 6 hours. And the online was fun back in 2007, but after 3 years I'm bored of whiny American kids making weird sounds and some Geordie complaining about the price of beer in his local. Then there's the constant lag. -_-
And DS games are about as good as your average flash game. So I'm not wasting money on the 3DS.
Alien Swarm is a fun and free game that I am currently addicted to on Steam. Anybody else have Steam that I can play co-op with? ![]()
