Question: Does the theme itself of your film have to be No Dialogue? Like, does there have to be a reason there's no dialogue? Or is it just a rule?
It's just a rule.
It's actually both. The theme, and the rule.

Sean, is Heavy breathing dialogue?
I can't see how anyone could consider heavy breathing dialogue. Unless the character actually says the words "Heavy breathing".

I don't get that answer. Does the theme of the movie have to be no dialogue, like the story is centered around why there is no dialogue?
The theme for Septemberfest 2010 is No Dialogue. Now, whilst dialogue is primarily defined as "conversation between two or more persons ", we also don't want to hear any monologues or the like.
The purpose of this theme is to tell a story without words. The only exemption are the film titles/credits. Songs with lyrics/singing count as dialogue.
He actually said the theme is to tell a story without words, nothing else.

Unfortunately, we will not be able to finish our entry on time 
. We may still finish it, but after some revisions, & definitely after the deadline.
I still need to do quite a bit to mine. But my mum said, as a kind of Birthday treat, I can stay up late to try to get all the animation done. I can do editing after school some days.
I is getting Magix Movie Edit Pro on Tuesday so I'll have a few days left to edit.
So I put mine on YouTube as unlisted and only gave the URL to the SepFest name. The judging hasn't started, yet it has 4 views what's up?
I'm dropping out. I just ended up far too unsatisfied with my results, unfortunately.
