Well guys, hopefully I will drag myself down to the basement tonight or tomorrow morning and animate my first little tidbit of stuff. If I don't get started now, I don't think I'll ever start, and I would end up most likely never making a single brickfilm again.
How sad. 
Would using the Mars Mission theme song be considered copyright? 
Is it owned by the LEGO Group (or anyone else for that matter)? If so, then yes.

Sorry to say this, guys, but it looks like I'm going to have to sit this one out. I'm going to be out of town for a good ten days and won't be back until Oct. 2nd. Eight days isn't enough, even for ME. Anyway, hope you guys have fun and I can't wait to see the entries!

I may or may not finish on time. It's over 4 minutes long and still not halfway done (yet 
).
We are making MAJOR progress on our entry. We filmed quite a bit, and we are now compositing. 
Ok, the week-end's here, and I haven't got too much homework outstanding. I still haven't done that much though, so I'm going to hammer it this weekend. My entry is shot at 20fps, so it won't be that long. I hope to do well on the 'presentation' part more than anything else.
what do they mean by presentation?
Animation, cinematography, etc..

Just a word of advise to all of the entrants! If you finish early, we advise you to fix up your entry. Not just you EddieHasscle, but everyone. Try adding grading effects, or decreasing the brightness. Maybe add some well composited CGI. Just make sure that your entry is the best that it can be
It's spelled advice. 
But that's a really good tip. Everyone should follow it. You still have around 13 days to do this.

Yeah... we flunked preschool JK seriously though, this ADVICE applies to us too.
Ok I don't know if this is related but while we're in the subject of CGI. Anyone have good mouth moving techniques? like nick durron?
That's software golden, not a technique.
Eddie, try looking up some behind the scenes stuff for 0ldcratch's film "Knucklehead" (warning, language). I'd post a link but I have to run and I don't have time.
