Gosh, The Last Starfighter...memories...ah.

This afternoon I watched "Let the Right One In", which was fantastic in so many ways. If you're at all interested in Vampires, or awesome cinema, check it out. A smart horror film? Heck yes!

Dark Passage

Humphrey Bogart is a is a convict framed for the murder of his wife. He then uses the miracles of plastic surgery (it was 1947...guess it was miraculous) to evade the police and tries to solve the murder! It's a good watch due to the interesting use of first person perspective during a good chunk of the movie.

Tron was like one of those WTF? moments, except stretched out over an hour and a half. However, it wasn't bad, and I still watch it every now and then.

The Berlinale film festival started today (one of the really big ones), and I'm really excited. I have tickets for two seminars (one is about cinematography and it's with Janusz Kaminski) as well as for several movies: Lawrence of Arabia, Baraka, and hopefully 2001: A Space Odyssey and Milk. The first three films are showing in a giant theater on a real 70mm print, so I'm incredibly psyched.

I watched Chitty Chitty Bang Bang again. It's still just as awesome as when I last saw it as a kid. Without a doubt this is my favorite musical and in my top 3 favorite movies of all time.
