Topic: Sony Vegas & VirtualDub Problem

Okay, I have a video which I want to render in HD. When it's
done with rendering, I want to see it. But with VLC, Quicktime and WMP
the screen stays black.
Anybody knows what's up?

EDIT: When I try to open an AVI in VirtualDub it says "MP42 not found, codec not installed".
Where can i find the codec?

Is there a possibility to select a codec if you're going to render it to an AVI? If so, which one did you select.

Re: Sony Vegas & VirtualDub Problem

I only saw template. I selected "NTSC DVD".

Re: Sony Vegas & VirtualDub Problem

Are you sure you didn't select "NTSC DV"?

Here's how I do it in Vegas 4...

Select "Default template (uncompressed)", click the "Custom" button, go to the "Video" tab and set your settings - including compression method, which should be something like DivX, same for the "Audio" tab, click OK, click Save.

Re: Sony Vegas & VirtualDub Problem

Okay, I'll try that out.
