The Expendables
The action was incredibe. The rest might as well have never existed. I couldn't understand what anyone was saying so I had absolutely no idea what the plot was, if there was one. The action totally made up for it, though. The third act was pure violence 'n' 'splosions (Three words: Terry. Effin'. Crews.), so it really went out with... a bang
. Also, The Boys are Back in Town as credits music made the ending that bit more awesome.
MACHETE
Loved it.
The Graduate
Finally saw it all the way through. Some parts haven't aged well; Benjamin Braddock is kind of a weirdo and Elaine didn't really get a whole lot of development, but I really admire the techniques used, Mike Nichols' direction, and the underlying sense of uncertainty and fear that the film possesses. Anne Bancroft in particular was great.
Also, I've been in a Simon & Garfunkle mood ever since.
I love the atmosphere of The Graduate. Dustin Hoffman turned what could've been a kinda creepy role into an awesome and subtlety hilarious performance.
Machete]
What Rodriguez lacks in subtlety, he makes up in AWESOME. This movie is brutal and freaking hilarious, featuring an eclectic cast that works very well. The sheer amount of villains was a bit excessive, though. I would have liked to have seen more of Tom Savini!
Overall, it's made of radsauce. See it if you like rad things! ![]()
Edit: Happy birthday! Those are some fantastic DVDs to get.

Machete
Another classic Robert Rodriguez film of kick *ss action. and its making fun of the laws here
(I live near the border ![]()

I think it's really weird that so many people aren't seeing the film becuase they don't agree with it's, "message." If you really think Robert Rodriguez is making a serious political point and actually believes immigration regulation deserves violent retaliation there really is no hope for you.
Indeed.
11 November 2010 (Australia)
That's like two months away. Dang.
Batman: Under the Red Hood
Not bad. Not great, but it was entertaining.
Jokers voice takes some getting used to, and the artists went a little strange when they drew Batman's face. (seriously leave the guys cheeks alone!)
Also, they took out all Black Mask's crazy bits that were in the Novel...
Overall, 7/10, worth watching.
Celine Dion - Through the Eyes of The Worl
Backstage views and concert clips all bound into 2 and a half hours or so of stunning Celine.
I think we have established, I love Celine Dion... ![]()
