Topic: Frozen in Time Effect

Aside from making everything stop moving, what would be a good effect to show that time stopped? I use Sony Vegas 9 Plat.Version.

Re: Frozen in Time Effect

Maybe try to make a blue filter and some sound effect when the time stops.

I like stuff...

Re: Frozen in Time Effect

Maybe a flash then the frozen pic, then suddenly they continue movie (unless you don't want them moving anymore).

Re: Frozen in Time Effect

Make a bright white flash right when time stops, then make the still picture in black and white. That would make it look a bit more "frozen", if that's the effect you want to achieve.

Re: Frozen in Time Effect

Add a slight gaussian blur and a blue tint to a frozen picture, that should work. mini/smile

Say I want something still moving in the freeze-frame, would black-and-white still be the best option?

If you're willing to take the huge amounts of time my suggestion will take, yes, you should use black and white. I think you should mask out the person who's moving in color, but everything else is in black and white. So the thing(s) that are moving are in color, but everything else that is frozen is black and white.

However, if you don't want to take that much time, just make it plain black and white.

Re: Frozen in Time Effect

Or, you could do it more realisticly...

Just make a whoosh sound when time stops, and have some objects floating...

Or you could make a slight wavy effect...

Re: Frozen in Time Effect

I really like the idea of a colored object moving in black-and white, and i'm going to be doing a lot of masking anyway... but the object that will be moving is eniterly white mini/XD

Re: Frozen in Time Effect

Or you could tint everything else a bluish color while making him not tinted.

Re: Frozen in Time Effect

Or make him a tinted blue color and everything else b&w. Maybe an extremely slo-mo, like you have to look real closely to notice everything is moving in miniscule amounts but it looks pretty still never the less.

Re: Frozen in Time Effect

DerTarchin, that would be a righteous pain in the ass to do with LEGO. mini/XD

Re: Frozen in Time Effect

Especially with how much masking i already have to do >_<

Re: Frozen in Time Effect

Make the picture warp for a brief moment when time freezes.
