Re: Post Your Story Ideas
I may be making a corny Sci-Fi movie with dreadful dialog, poorly named characters, a classic plot, and cheap effects.

I kind of want to recreate a B-Movie. I don't know what it would be about yet, but I always imagine just getting some cheesy voice actors, a cheesy plot, and maybe some cheesy animation, and just make a "low budget" film. I know JimmyBob pulled this off nicely a long time ago.

If thats it I would just not do it, unless you can make it interesting and something worth watching. No offense BTW
Excuse me? ![]()
Do it.
In other news, I got an idea while I was working on my latest film (shameless plug) where it's like an arcade game (Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat) but - through the power of annotations - you can pick who fights who.
If you don't get it:
Player 1 clicks on Character X. They get a link to another video where Player 2 clicks on Character Y. They receive a link to yet another video where Character X and Character Y fight in arcade style fashion.
Trust me, it'll work.

I love interactive videos! Tell me when your are done!
Excuse me?
Lets just say I like films that have interesting dialog, characters that are either have a cool name, or their name fits them, an interesting plot and original plot that would suprise me, and amazing (and/or cool looking) effects. But in the end if its interesting or worth watching, none of those things matter. But that's just my opinion. If you want to do it, go for it.;)
This just popped into my head yesterday, I'm hoping to follow through with it since all of my other ideas haven't been so successful.
Here goes: The year is 2600, and man has finally figured out how to create a time machine. Unfortunately, the machine was stolen by some "bad guys". These bad guys also have a lot of weapons, power, and money. So they go back in time, and wreak havoc on periods all through time, blowing up and destroying things along the way. Then the "good guys" have to recreate the time machine and try to stop them before they make humanity become extinct. I got the idea from a record from Alexander the Great's army saying that "two flying shields spit lighting at his army," and I wanted to explain it.
I still need to build on it a lot. Feedback is greatly appreciated

I never understand why the bad guys in time machine movies always want to destroy the humanity. I don't know, if I should make a movie about a time machine, I'd choose a different plot. Probably something like what happends in Back to the Future 2, but adding another kind of machine. I might explain it later if I come up with a plot, because I'm starting liking this idea I just had.

A more original plot would be cool, but we like the idea of trying to explain an unexplained historical phenomenon.
I really want to make a Indiana Jones style adventure film. New characters and plot, but I probably won't make it, I'd get bashed horribly.

Well i'm not trying to put you down or anything but...
Say man finished creating a Time Machine on the date of, 8/15/2190 at, 2:00:05 PM.
And waited to go back in time until, 8/20/2190, they could only go back to when the Time Machine was finished so back to, 8/15/2190 at , 2:00:05, exactly on the dot.
Plus I think a story with aliens would be better....
-Olaf
That makes absolutely no sense Olaf. If he wanted to travel back to Greek times (or whatever), the time machine wouldn't have been invented then, but he could still go back into that period of time.
I'm making a "a day in the life of..." video, but i haven't decided who...
No Darth Vader and stuff...
You should do it of Jackie Chan or some famous actor.

Hannibal Lecter. He knows how to throw a good party. ![]()
There's a ton of video's concepts and ideas flowing through my head each day.
It's really hard to choose an idea and stick to it. And most of the time I scrap the video's i put into production because they dont turn out the way i want.
But for now, Im working on a music video, and hopefully this time ill finish it.
Got a little film idea (live-action).
Alicia Pine is 17 and is doing good in school, but when she answers the front door she is stabbed
to death by the stranger she opens to. At the same time while she was being murdered, she was video
chatting with Matthew Plummer. He witnesses the brutal murder from a computer screen, and the murderer
notices the video conference, he walks a little closer, close to the screen to see who she was video chatting with,
Matthew then takes a snapshot of his face, which is mostly darkened by a mask, but his eyes are very clear.
The police are getting nowhere on the case so he uses social networking sites such as Facebook to find the killer.
He goes through all of Alicias facebook friends and compare the eyes in their profile picture to the killers. Nothing.
Matthew then checks his friends getting a few matches. But 3 people can't be one? So he looks at the time he took the
snapshot and went through their status updates to figure out if any where out or not, after numerous techniques used he
soon beleives he catches the murderer, but he does not know, the murderer is watching everything he does... through his
own webcam and if he solves the case, the murderer will be on his way to kill him.
Wanted to create some sort of story/idea about how social networking websites and 21st century technology (Cell Phones, etc.) solves a murder.
