Topic: cgi tutorial

Hey, everyone, i've found that when it comes to making cgi lego scenes, almost everyone is lost.  And even the ones who aren't don't know how to make their stuff look completely photo realistic.  There's a secret to making cgi lego scenes look like a photo, though.  It's something that I learned, and never really thought of before.

Let me know if you want me to post a tutorial on it. mini/wink

Re: cgi tutorial

I'm interested. I might try doing some CGI in the future.

Re: cgi tutorial

Hm, I'd highly want to see this tutorial.

But I don't think that everyone who makes CGI Lego scenes makes them unrealistic. I know a fair amount of CGI users that can make realistic CGI Lego.

Excuse me?  I'm not lost.  I just don't like asking for directions, because I'm a man. mini/tongue  But you take that back about Nick Durron.

Yes.  I would love to see what wisdom you have after 3+ months of Blender inquiries.

My fault for not catching on

Re: cgi tutorial

Hey, guys, i'll make the tutorial as soon as possible.

When i first mentioned it, it was kind of unclear what the tutorial was specifically gonna be about, so here's what it's gonna have:

I'm gonna explain how to make a realistic lego cgi scene from start to finish using blender.  I'm gonna go through why a normal render doesn't look real, and reveal the secret of making a photo-realistic scene.  It will be more of an intermediate tutorial as far as blender goes, but I'll try to help out the beginners too.

So yeah, that's about it.

I'm back. Possibly.

Re: cgi tutorial

*facepalm*

Please clarify.  Do you mean how to insert a photo into your scene or do you mean how to upload your rendering online?

Re: cgi tutorial

Somehow, I have a sneaking suspicion that this isn't going to be anything special. I would be a bit more convinced if you had asked less basic Blender questions in the sort of recent past, and the fact that you didn't capitalize the word CGI.
