Topic: "Portal Bullet" Effect

For those of you who have played Portal, you know what I'm talking about. For those of you who don't....I don't know.

So here's the deal: in my next brickfilm fight animation, I want to use a portal gun, but I don't want to just use LEGO elements to create the effect. I want it to be awesome. Does anyone know how to do this effect, and are willing to do it?

Re: "Portal Bullet" Effect

You mean like in the game portal? I saw someone use the little fire bricks to make actual portal. Here

Re: "Portal Bullet" Effect

I'm not looking for the actual portal, I'm just going to achieve that with red and blue flats. What I'm looking for is the projectile fired from the gun, or the "portal bullet."

Re: "Portal Bullet" Effect

UniLego, what editing software are you using? That way I could better help you.

"actuallly this involves spiderman too, not batman. but im also taking a new approach, more comedy, less action. i dont see to many movies like that with more comedy than action" --SteveStarfyTV on an Indiana Jones meets Star Wars idea.

Magix Movie Edit Pro 16 Plus. AVI is the ideal video file type.

Re: "Portal Bullet" Effect

Does it support panning/zooming like Vegas?

Re: "Portal Bullet" Effect

You can layer over a "Portal Bullet" type image with a transparent background and then use panning to make it move.
