Topic: Quickcam 9000 on mac - focus problems
I have recently purchased an imac along with istopmotion. I have been animating with a Quickcam 9000 for windows. Seeing people on youtube state that the webcam still works on mac i felt sure i could still animate with it. I plugged it in and the istopmotion software recognised it straight away. I could even animate in 1600x1200 so no quality difference from the windows version. I went to the settings in istopmotion and could not find anything mentioning focus anywhere.
Can anyone help me with this?
I don't really want to go out and buy a Quickcam vision pro for mac.
If anyone uses a quickcam vision pro - how do you manually focus?
Of course, i'd rather not go out and buy the quickcam vision pro but if there is no other way round it then I'll have to ![]()
EDIT: Having now seen the topic posted by Sean about upcoming Logitech HD quickcams this also has me wondering whether THEY will work in istopmotion. If my QC9K problem is not sorted I will probably buy the C910 as it looks stunning, providing that it does work in istopmotion. It HAS been confirmed that it has manual focus, but again it is a webcam developed for windows so I am not used not installing anything when plugging a webcam into a mac. How will I be able to change the focus manually?
I've probably repeated myself a lot in this post but you get the idea ![]()
