Bodville would of won if you voted for him. The only reason why filmyguy won was because Smeagol had to decide out of AncientBricks, Bodville and Filmyguy.
Uh, no, not exactly. I just remembered that I hadn't counted my own vote when I was tabulating, so that was an easy way to break the three-way tie. If there had been a tie for first I probably would have gotten somebody on the review panel to break the tie again.
The vote being this close does make me wonder about the idea of allowing people to vote for themselves. Fortunately in this instance I don't believe any of the top three voted for themselves. If they had though, it'd be pretty stupid that somebody could win because they were selfish. Perhaps in the future contest entrants shouldn't be allowed to vote.
If anybody cares to have my take on the entries, of the top three I really felt like Filmyguy's was edited somewhat like a trailer. The other two felt more or less like scenes from the respective movies, with a little editing work on the beginning and end.

Somewhat? That was hollywood cliche all the way. Exactly the reason I didn't vote for filmyguy's (sans Avant-Garde). I wonder how the BIM reviewers voted?

Sorry if it came across to you like I was trying to be annoying like real movie trailers with flashy clips and fast cuts and all, but that's the only way I know to make a trailer. 
Don't get me wrong it was great, they were all great so I don't think it matters who won. Nothing wrong with your trailer FG it was excellent. My beef was with the big S and his lame rational.
His movie was "hollywood cliche all the way" but it was also "excellent" and "great?" Sorry I didn't praise it for the right reasons, then, my bad.
I would consider myself to have pretty harsh standards in viewing most work on this site but that's not very constructive to be expressing all the time, so I try to focus on the positives; if I had to lose all inhibitions I'd say I did not particularly like any of the trailers in this contest because they either didn't feel like a trailer to me or were, like filmyguy's, a bit on the cliche side. Personally I see this contest as being about making a good trailer, not having the most promising concept for a full film, but it's just supposed to be a fun mini-contest anyway.
2nd place was a two-way tie between Bodville and Ancientbricks.
No surprise there.

Opinion, I suppose. I just wanted to let people vote for whichever trailer they liked best; I didn't really give any suggestions in that regard when I posted this thread in the first place.
