Re: What was the last movie you watched?
Repulsion
Oh. My. God. I loved it. It was such a good horror film. The second Polanski horror film i've seen. (I've seen Rosemary's Baby)

Role Models
Actually pretty funny. I quite enjoyed it.
The Rescuers Down Under
Wonderful nostalgia. I must have watched this at least once a week as a kid, and even now, it's still great entertainment. Vastly superior to the original Rescuers movie, and George C. Scott is perfect as the villain.
pirates of the carribean
terrible, terrible movie but the effects are quite impressive
Which one? 1, 2, or 3?

Sherlock Holmes
Fourth time viewing. Really fun movie, I'm finally sick of it though, now that I completely understand the entire movie.
3/5
Salem's lot (1979)
Good vampire movie, especially for being 3 hours long. Book is better though.
Honey, I Shrunk the Kids
So... why on earth did the parents not just tell the kids to meet them at that rock in the middle of the yard? Why did the kids not see the giant shadow of their dad floating over them? Why did the LEGO brick not have the LEGO logo on the studs?

Then could you explain to me how Blackwood "posessed" the young woman in the beggining into trying to stab herself? Was it hypnotism? A drug? I might have missed something, but I don't think it was ever explained.

If a person believes a guy can hypnotize him, they actually get hypnotized by the person, I saw something about it on TV recently.
Hypnosis happens, but you would have to want to kill yourself to allow something like that to occur during it. It's all about what you want to do vs. what the hypnotist wants you to do. If your wants align with their wants, you will feel compelled to follow through- otherwise it's pretty much useless. You'd have to be very weak willed to allow someone to hypnotize you into killing yourself; the kind of person who is already considering suicide.
Note, I haven't watched the film, so I don't know if this describes the character in question. And of course, they could always just go for their own version of hypnosis that isn't accurate. It's their film.
The Bounty Hunter
What a jerk.
Clash of the Titans
Awesome effects. Awesome fighting. Lame story line. Cheesy Gods.
Journey to the center of the earth.
A bit unbelievable but interesting nonetheless.
Predators
Cool effects, ok story, but still very enjoyable
Predator
Same here, had to watch it after I saw predators
Son of Sam
That movie pretty much sucked.
2/10
Se7en

I think it was just that she was heavily drugged up actually, that's the impression I was under.
That's what I had thought, a hallucinogenic drug or some such, yeah. Just checking to see if I had missed something.
stories that are containing some radical stories does not have a sense at all.. ![]()
Fight Club
I liked it alot.
Eyes of Laura Mars
A great horror/thriller.
Today was a movie marathon for me:
Body Double
Sure it was too similar to Vertigo and Rear Window, still a groovy film though.
The Fearless Vampire Killers
Very funny. Loved the last scene.
Femme Fatale
Pretty good, felt too long though.
Valley of the Dolls
Loved it, sad ending though. ![]()
The Princess and the Frog
I take back every bad thing I might have previously said about this movie. Also, yay! for Pixar Braintrust! ![]()
Airplane!
Always loved this movie, very funny for its time.

though this is a really old thread...
Inception
GREAT! I'm seeing it again today.
