im gonna get the pro 9000 soon and i wanted to know the best capture program to use, monkeyjam or helium frog, im thinking about helium frog cause it has onion skin, but does that program give you the high quality that the 9000 has?
Personally, I prefer HeliumFrog. It has 16:9 (widescreen) capabilities and can playback at 15fps on the fly, without having to render a preview. Onion skinning helps, too.
I have tried both and Monkeyjam is way more powerful and professional, plus Monkeyjams developer posted on his website he's working on getting onion skinning. However, Helium frog is more efficient but does not work with the same quality. I don't believe that Helium frog was ever updated. I do like the auto-save/render it has though. They are both good but it just depends on your style of animating.
I have the same opinion of Uni lego, actually helium frog has many advantages, but if you take the version downloaded from interenet the day after the installation do not work anymore ... However, you still do not count are both wonderful!
I might be misinformed, but shouldn't both give you the same picture quality up to a given resolution? If anything, I seem to recall Heliumfrog supporting higher resolutions than MonkeyJam. As far as actual features: Heliumfrog is probably superior, although I can't say I'm a fan of the user interface at all. I feel like I should point out that-

-this will probably happen sometime after pigs learn to fly. Monkeyjam has been in development hell for years, sadly.
