Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Metropolis
Loved it.

Fatal Attraction
THAT IS ONE PSYCHOTIC B*TCH.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

40 Days and 40 Nights

Eh.

Inception

Manages to improve on a second viewing, because you're able to pay closer attention to certain things and pick up on a lot more subtle moments that you would have otherwise missed or forgotten about on the first watch.

Jaws

Excellently-crafted suspense thriller, still holds up even to today. I liked Robert Shaw's character especially, his USS Indianapolis monologue was fantastic.

Starship Troopers 3: Marauder

... You have got to be joking. mini/blankexpression

Predators

It's an alright film, despite being a slight mess.

Alien: Ressurection

lolwut?

Postal

Don't even ask me about the film or how I managed to watch it here in the UK.

The Hurt Locker

This film is quite awesome for being a realistic film instead of a ridiculous action film.

That's a lot of films I've watched over the last week or two, lol. mini/tongue

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

I thought 2012 was great as long as I thought of it as a comedy film.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Mississippi Burning
Wow.

A Serious Man
I feel like I should like this movie but I really didn't.

I rewatched that movie again today, and I loved it even more than the first time. Hilarious dark comedy.

Haha, true. If I should think of it as a serious movie I'd say it was awful. But that's just my opinion.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Inception. It was good but certainly overhyped.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Léon: The Director's Cut

Better than the theatrical one, it was more moving, especially with the scenes where we see the girl and Léon really close, I think the studio bosses thought it was to disturbing maybe, I found it to add more emotion and show how a good guy Léon really is, so big thumbs up for this cut

Se7en

David Fincher has made the best two serial killer movies EVER.
The ending is SO awesome, no movie can top that twist and schock, not even "The Sixth Sense"

5/5

Young Frankenstein

It was ok, had a few laughs.

3,0/5

Bram Stoker's Dracula

So this was a Horror/romantic/erotic/arthouse movie?
I really enjoyed the look in this movie, every shot seemed really planned out, and wauw, this s**t is weird.
Gary Oldman did a great Dracula, although Lugosi keeps owning.

Toy story 3

Wow, it may of had the same basic plot as TS2, but it still amazed me. The small gags and Transformation of one character had me hooked. The last scene was very touching and made my eyes water slightly. 5/5 One of my favourite films to date.

Karate Kid

Hmm, not bad, this movie I HAD to see. If I was given the choice, I wouldn't of seen it. 3/5

Troy

Nothing can beat "300" in the best Greek action film. 2.5/5

I really funny exciting, and well made animtion film.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

The Remains of the Day

This is truly Anthony Hopkins' film. His performance is astounding, amazingly subtle and restrained yet we can still sense the buried emotions under his quiet demeanor. He gives the film its true sense of poignancy as a man content to let his own life pass him by in the service of others.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Army of Darkness... again.
HAHA! YES! BEST MOVIE EVER!

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

To say the least, Nolan's INCEPTION is a phenominal film, exploring the area of dreams, and pushing the boundaries of imagination further and further.

I recommend it to anyone who has ever pondered over the thoughts of their dreams at least once, or likes a good, abstract sci-fi flick. Feel free to post your comments and thoughts on the film.

There are a few places where I get lost however. The main being at the end of the film.

Spoiler (click to read)

I am aware that Cobb needs to find the Japanese guy to honor their agreement to get Cobb home. How does Cobb find him in Limbo? He washes up on the shore again but I don't know how he got there. does it have anything to do with the fact Mal stabbed him?

Caveman didn't discover fire, fire discovered caveman.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

I remember something like 'Eventually you end up on the shore of your unconsiousness' or something like that.
EDIT: In Limbo that is.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

I thought it was entertaining, but overrated.

It makes the audience think, but only about its own complexity and what amounts to a kind of shallow and contrived take on the act of dreaming.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Did you guys see the Blade Runner references?

-Music (the song "Old Souls") it sounded like Blade Runner to me in parts.
-Ending (replican or not/dream or not)
-Briefcase (Check for Replican/To enter dream)

@vik: Yeah now that you mention it I remember that too. Still not sure how he got there though. Oh well.

@Night Owl: Yeah it did have alot of hype, but it was still enjoyable. At least it wasn't a waste of money like some other films are. mini/wink

@Darkman: Never seen Blade Runner so I wouldn't know.
