First off, I'd like to ask if that looks like a mailbox.
This is what their neighborhood used to look like. 
I just want to know what you guys think of the change. If you want to see more pictures, I'd be glad to post more.

Also, does anyone know how to build a mailbox minifigure scale?

A quick Brickshelf search got me this.
What I'm looking for is a mailbox that looks like it would be in front of somebody's house.

I couldn't find anything on google, but i assume you looked yourself. See if you can find a Lego piece that looks like a post box and then put it on a stick.
Also the houses don't look very house like. I mean the two on the right look like Chinese council housing. And Jeffreys house is blue.
Off topic: why do you americans have your letter boxes 50 feet in front of your houses? Don't people ever steal your post?
I dunno, that's just how it is.
And I wanted to make the houses look very child-drawing-like. Like the kind of houses that have the door in the middle, it's square, and a pointy roof etc.
Also, Jeffery's house was like that in the original episode, so I just wanted to keep it like that. IMO, it kind of makes the neighborhood look funnier. But that's just my opinion.

Here's your answer to why no one steals people's mail.
And besides, no one uses the postal system in the US for personal reasons anymore. E-mail replaced letters, and FedEx/UPS replaced the shipment of packages. Very sad.
