Topic: Spacing out CG Bricks

Hi, I have recently been doing some CG work in MLCAD and Blender, and I noticed that when I render my image, all the bricks appear to be one solid "brick". Does anyone have any suggestions of how I could space the bricks out, to give them that realistic, sort of cracky look that you get with real legos? Thanks.

Re: Spacing out CG Bricks

You need to bevel the bricks. This explains it.

Re: Spacing out CG Bricks

Thanks! Although, is there an easy way to apply the bevel to all the bricks in the scene?

Re: Spacing out CG Bricks

yes, but unless you have a very very fast computer you can't do all of them at once. well it depends on how many you have though. I can normally do about 10-15 bricks at once. How you do it is select the 10 bricks then hit ctrl J and his yes. This will join the mesh of those objects and make them one object. Now just bevel that one object and taadaaa.
