Topic: Brickfilming when you just don't have many bricks?

Here's the deal, folks: I do not have many LEGO bricks.  I have barely enough pieces to build a single wall, only one (small) baseplate, and my entire "collection" could fit in a soup bowl. How can I make the best use of my lack of resources?

I also only have enough minifigure pieces to make one minifig at a time, so as a side note, how can I make a film with only one character?

I do plan on expanding my collection in the future, but for the moment I can't be tossing out money on plastic toys.

first of all, love the life aquatic.

second - all you need is one character! no one declared that all brickfilms need an abundance of minifigs (or a pile of bricks)

Re: Brickfilming when you just don't have many bricks?

It's in the animator, not the LEGO.

Re: Brickfilming when you just don't have many bricks?

It is very difficult, but if you are truly dedicated, then you should start investing in more bricks.

Re: Brickfilming when you just don't have many bricks?

Like the others have said, you don't need much LEGO to make a good film.
A couple of years back there was a '10 bricks of less' contest, there were some pretty good films made in that.

I also believe that Nathan Wells did a video about filming with few bricks. Here

Here's the winner of the contest Blacitch mentioned. There were a number of other excellent entries, but it doesn't look like they're anywhere on YouTube for me to link to.

How About white expanse, you only need a minifig, a sheet of paper, lamps, and possibly some bricks for the minifig to walk on...

Re: Brickfilming when you just don't have many bricks?

You need to point your camera the right way so you capture most of your bricks.

What's the point of making brick models if your little brother destroys them?

Re: Brickfilming when you just don't have many bricks?

Try to make sure that you may only need as much of a wall as will fit on the green base plate, as well.  As others have said, films needn't have tons of figures to be diverse, unique and/or enjoyable.
