Topic: Eerie Town

I'm making a destroyed, dead town, with broken houses and spooky things. In the background there's the silhouettes of building, made with black bricks. I have two black pillar bricks placed beside eachother, and I need to make smoke come out of them. Is there any way to do this without too much FX knowledge?
I also need tips for the creepy set (positions of dead bodies, objects, how the houses are broken, etc.)
Thanks.

Re: Eerie Town

Did you want to create the smoke while you're animating or afterwards?

Usually, creepy music and a smoke-ish/misty atmosphere are big contributers in making a town look creepy. Oh, and lighting. Have some of it, but create a lot of dark spots.

While animating. I don't want to use cotton wool or anything, just something easy.

Re: Eerie Town

Let me guess, is this Half-Life related? Ravenholm, possibly?

I do not care about your opinion, unless it has to do with it needing more ponies.

Re: Eerie Town

You could use grey bricks for smoke. Cotton balls are easier though. mini/wink
