That photo is awesome! The more pictures I see, the more I get excited about this movie! Do you have any release date planned?

Re: Lego Egypt Film

September

Re: Lego Egypt Film

On the previous page I preferred picture #3. I love the mood that the lighting creates, as well as the realism. Would be a great place for a torch.

Re: Lego Egypt Film

Please post more images!!!  This movie sounds awesome! mini/bigsmile

Re: Lego Egypt Film

a torch... how on earth.

Re: Lego Egypt Film

We believe that you want to do something like this:

Re: Lego Egypt Film

The lighting is quite beautiful in the third variation there, yeah.  Personally if I wanted to create a torch I'd probably shine a light on the torch prop for each frame and shoot each frame with and without it, then mask the area around the torch with the lit version of the video revealed in the area of the mask...I don't know how your skills are in post-production type work though, I understand that a lot of people prefer to do things in camera whenever possible.

Holy mother of holy...
By the way, I don't know if someone mentioned this or not, but your set is really quite intricately cool. Quite ornate, but cool. Keep up the good work, man. I'm really looking forward to this.

Re: Lego Egypt Film

I...WANT...YOUR...LEGOS! Lol. I really wish I had the money to buy tons of LEGO, but unfortunately my money is currently going towards more professional things, like a Canon XH-A1s, light kit, Mac Pro workstation (with Final Cut Pro, Logic Studio, CS5 Flash), and other things. All in all about $15,000 for everything. Image the kind of LEGO I could buy with $15,000.

Re: Lego Egypt Film

what light kit?

I'd settle for at least his minifigs.

Re: Lego Egypt Film

anyone got tips for getting down those stairs?

Re: Lego Egypt Film

I've done some animations going up stairs. But going down is a different story, because the center of balance of the mini-fig changes, and you have gravity work against you in this case. So I'll just leave the answer up to someone else. In the mean time just try to experiment with it.

Re: Lego Egypt Film

How on earth are you going to get $15,000? Unless of course, you work for a while.

Re: Lego Egypt Film

I'm working occasionally at a TV station right now, making on average a little more than $5,000 a year. I have about $7,500 saved right now.
