1) Has anyone successfully used the Panasonic HMC150 with framegrabbing software on a Mac?
The HMC150 records in AVCHD to SDHC cards. I'm using a Mac with a Matrox MXO2 LE to capture the footage.
I can record to video, transfer to Final Cut, and change the duration of the clips, but that would be a LOT of superfluous harddrive space.
2) Also, I'm still looking for the best Mac option for software, but am currently testing with FrameByFrame.
Dude, that thing costs 2K! For Mac you can use this, this and FrameByFrame.
WOW! If you you can put enough money into that I would definitely buy Dragon, or maybe even iStopmotion Pro.

It's a company camcorder, sadly. 
Oh, but I would still recomend dragon over iStopmotion.

FrameByFrame is VERY slow and has tons of bugs.
DRRRRAAAGONNN is the only thing youll ever need.
Do you only need capture cards for video cameras?
EDIT: Yes. With webcams, they can just connect right to the capture software (framegrabber), along with cameras that have a live feed like a variety of DLSRs.

You have a M..-mm-mm Matrox? If you can invest $200 definitely get Dragon
