Topic: Slow-Motion

Does anyone know how I can make someone raise an arm, turn a head, run and walk in slow motion? I need to know fast!

Re: Slow-Motion

Hmm, slow motion is a lot more difficult to pull off than regular motion. What I would suggest is to file the neck down so it is easier to turn the head, and have the arms easy to move as well. No matter what technique you will use, it will take a lot more concentration and patience than regular animation.
With the filed down neck, it will be easier to move the head in very small increments. Same goes for the arms. Now for running, try hooking the character up to a rig that can suspend the character slightly. That will make it easy to move the character run slowly.
You'll need to try it many times before it becomes comfortable, so practice it one movement at a time.
You could also blend the frames to give it even more of a slow-mo quality.

Re: Slow-Motion

how can I blend the frames? I'm using monkeyjam, and use this webcam, the Mikomi 300K VGA. Will that work?

Re: Slow-Motion

Slow-motion is simply making the animation more detailed, so you just have to take more frames and make smaller movements in each motion.

it doesn't look that bad, bionicles are alot harder to animate than normal lego.
